After a couple of years of playing with scraps of paper, ribbon, fanciful objects, Darcy Deaton and Kara Garber started a wholesale line, Trophy Co. established May 2006. Trophy Co. is currently sold through their retail store, McMaster & Storm.
The co-owners "feed off each other," one starts the project and the other adds their embellishments. "Our styles compliment. We often laugh, although we love our own sisters, we are more alike in what we love," exclaims Garber. That is why this combo works. Their partnership uplifts spirits and inspires not only each other but their customers as well.
"Details are important to us and that passes down to our product-line Trophy Co.," states Deaton. Their main product is a prize ribbon "to embellish that prized possession, such as a favorite print or antique mirror.
Vintage and new bits are used to created their products. Over the years, the partners have collected old printer stamps, religious postcards, ribbon, sheet music and textiles. The line is also made up of swans, tiny crowns, tags, candy boxes, prize eggs and fabric banners.
The line is represented by a few samplings here and in our petite catalog.
